In early 2004, renowned Nikon Expert Robert Rotoloni began work on his new book knowing that it would use practically nothing from his previous book 'Nikon Rangefinder Camera'. Using less than a dozen images from the 1983 book, this new edition will have 1350 black and white illustrations plus 24 pages of full colour by master photographer Tony Hurst all contained in its 528 pages.

Completely rewritten using up to date historical knowledge acquired by the author over the past couple of decades, the amount of information in this edition exceeds anything else ever published on the Nikon rangefinder system.

Author Robert Rotoloni says: "This edition is the culmination of over 35 years of research and exclusively collecting this system. It distils the hundreds of articles and photos that have appeared in the pages of my Nikon Journal these last 24 years, 5 trips and many interviews with key personnel at Nippon Kogaku in Tokyo, as well as viewing the top collections in the world and countless conversations with hundreds of Nikon collectors worldwide. It is the author's hope that the vast amount of information and knowledge of this landmark camera series learned over the previous decades has been faithfully preserved between the covers of my new book for all Nikon collectors, present and future" Copyright Robert Rotoloni 2007
